Hello Christ's Church family and friends, This Sunday I am sharing a very important message out of 1 Timothy 2:5-7 that I know will encourage you.   Come ready to hear about David and the Dwarf. On Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m. we will be gathering together for our Celebration of Ministries and Annual Business Meeting.   I am looking forward to this time of celebration as we reflect back at last year and look forward to what God is going to do in this coming year. In this meeting, we will be electing two new Council Members.  The Church Nomination Committee has met and submitted their recommendations for nomination.  I would ask that you prayerfully consider the names below as you prepare for the election. Dear Christ's Church family and friends, There is a lot going on this coming week so please forgive the length of this week's newsletter!   Much is happing and this is an exciting time to be a part of the Kingdom of God. This Sunday I am going to be sharing a teaching I have titled "Should Christians Vote?"    Part of being a people of INFLUENCE is for us as Christians to be involved in the political process we enjoy in our nation.   This upcoming election is one of the most important our nation has ever faced and we as Christians need to be an INFLUENCE in this election.  Our Young Adult Ministry is also going to be making VOTER REGISTRATION forms available to everyone that is not registered to vote.   The deadline for you to be registered in order to vote in the upcoming Primary is February 6th.  So come ready to be challenged and become a people of INFLUENCE for the Kingdom of God through Voting! Hello Christ's Church family and friends, What a fantastic week it has been with God doing so much. God is healing, restoring and doing amazing things!! Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. we are going to be hearing a report from our Youth Pastor Dawn Gibler, regarding the Urban Outreach to Galveston. I believe this will encourage you and also help you to find a way to get plugged into this critical outreach in whatever way God speaks to you. You are called to be an INFLUENCE! On Sunday evening at 5:00 p.m. the Ladies will be meeting for a time of fellowship. Our guest speaker for the evening will be Melanie Griffin our South Texas District Woman's Ministries Coordinator. Men if you are available to help with child care or clean up in the kitchen, please let me know. Tuesday evening we will be meeting at 7:00 p.m. for INFLUENCE Prayer!
