Happy New Year Christ's Church! This week we kick off a Week of Prayer. Every day we will have services and events that you can participate either at the church or at home, to start the year off in prayer. Also please pick up a 31 day Prayer Focus that we will start praying corporately today, January 6th through February 6th. This Sunday as we gather at 10:00 a.m. I will be sharing the first message in a brand new Series I have titled "How is Your Soul?" Come ready to be challenged and encouraged! Note the changes to the schedule for this week that include our week of prayer services. When we feel forsaken, abandoned and broken

This morning I have been reflecting on the death of Christ. His cry of "My God why have you forsaken me" strikes my heart so powerfully. He was in horrific pain and terrible suffering. Yet in the midst of that darkness, and His cry of brokenness, He spoke something else. He said, "Into Your Hands Father I commit My spirit!" Both statements strike my heart deeply. In the moment of Christ's suffering and feelings of abandonment, He reaffirmed His absolute trust in the love and plan of His Father. He trusted His Father even in the moment of ultimate suffering. All of us walk through times of suffering and brokenness, maybe even to the point where we feel abandoned. I wish I could say these times of suffering do not happen but to put it bluntly, that is life. I am walking through one of those seasons right now personally. To deny those times in our lives is simply foolish. But I was encouraged in my moment of darkness and suffering by Christ's trust in the plan that the Father had for Him. Newsletter and Blessing 6-12-16

Hello Christ’s Church Family and Friends, This Sunday as we gather for worship at 10:00 a.m., I am going to be sharing a very important message that I have titled “I am Swamped and You are Sleeping!”   If you know someone that is going through a difficult time and needs to hear an encouraging Word, bring them with you tomorrow.  I am expecting a powerful move of God’s Spirit tomorrow!  This week is Vacation Bible School.  Because of that we will have SIGNIFICANT changes to our scheduled services.  Please note those changes below. Sunday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. our MPact Girls and Royal Rangers will be meeting for their Rain Gutter Regatta.  Come join the fun! Vacation Bible School decorations will be moving forward as we finalize the buildings getting ready for the Children.  The crew will be working Sunday afternoon getting everything completed. Ladies – The Women’s Ministry will be meeting Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m. to PRAY over the buildings and for the Children in preparation for the week.  Ladies come out and join us as we PRAY!
