Good morning precious Christ's Church Family and Friends, Today's Bible reading is: Luke 1:26-48; Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:56-57, 59-60, 62-64, 80 Today as we reflect on the life of Jesus, I was thinking about the revelation of God's love and that God is Love, which Christ brought to us. 1 john 4:11 says "If God so loved us, we also ought to love one another." Love most simply put is a relationship. The word love, as it is used in the biblical texts has two obvious qualities. The Love Apostle John taught first that love has its own origins in God (1 John 4:19 "we love because he first loved us") and the second is that love is a relationship with others ("if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another" 1 John 4:11). Eugene Peterson wrote in his book Traveling Light that "Love is not a word that describes our feelings. It is not a technique by which we fulfill our needs. It s not an ideal, abstract and pure, on which we meditate. Love simply is acting in correspondence with or in response to God in relation to people." The revelation of Love that Christ…
