Good morning precious Christ's Church Family and Friends, Before I share today's Christmas Devotional I wanted to remind everyone of the funeral service for Verlin Brittlebank that will be held this morning. The visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Funeral Service which will begin at 11:00 a.m. Both the visitation and the funeral will be held here at Christ's Church. Today's Bible reading is: Luke 2:21-38; Isaiah 52:9; 60:1,3, 6; Matt. 2:1-12; Isaiah 49:6-7 In Luke 2:11 it says "Today your savior was born in the town of David. He is Christ, the Lord." It was an ordinary night, with ordinary sheep and ordinary shepherds. And were it not for a God who loves to add an "extra" on the front of ordinary, the night would have been forgotten and the shepherds would have slept the night away. When God shows up, the ordinary of our lives is transformed. God dances in the midst of the common! And that night when Jesus was born, I think He did a waltz! Max Lucado in his book The Applause of Heaven described it like this. "The black sky exploded with brightness. Trees that had been shadows jumped into clarity.…
