2013 - A Year of Preparation

January 6, 2013 - Starting the New Year by Fasting and Prayer - Welcome 2013 I have such a thankful heart -- God has done such wonderful things in 2012! He is forever faithful! As I've rested after the Christmas busi-ness and had some time to start fasting, I am searching and seeking God. I love spending time in His Word, meditating on new revelation He alone gives. Pastor Bob and I started the Daniel Fast - and I'm not sure how long we plan on staying on it -- I hope to go all year -- I am feeling as though 2013 is a year of preparation for what is to come from the Lord. I have an expectant heart for the huge things God is about to do in our lives, in our church, in America and around the world. Here is what I shared on Sunday morning, October 14. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit and the Initial Physical Evidence by Speaking in Tongues I grew up a Christian, but attended a church that never taught on the Holy Spirit and He was not a part of my life. You will be speaking by the power of the Spirit, but it will all be mysterious. But one who prophesies is helping others grow in the Lord, encouraging and…

This truth is very hard to share with others as they go through trying times. By the way, it is now Day 8 on the Daniel Fast -- not an easy fast, and it is for 21 days. But drawing close to Lord is absolutely wonderful. Taste and see that the Lord is good! led them forth by the right way."— ps 107:7ThoughtChangeful experience often leads the anxious believer to enquire "Why is it thus with me?" I looked for light, but lo, darkness came; for peace, but behold trouble. I said in my heart, my mountain standeth firm, I shall never be moved. Lord, thou dost hide thy face, and I am troubled. It was but yesterday that I could read my title clear; to-day my evidences are bedimmed, and my hopes are clouded. Yesterday I could climb to Pisgah's top, and view the landscape o'er, and rejoice with confidence in my future inheritance; to-day, my spirit has no hopes, but many fears; no joys, but much distress. Is this part of God's plan with me?…
